Kitchen

The Kitchen is open!

Y\V Kitchen cooks up abundant and nutritious eating ideas for clients looking to make major lifestyle changes. Our sister brand, [VEGE]Table, offers delicious and customizable lunches at Local Roots Wooster.

We believe that good food is at the center of well-being. Everything we bring to the table is plant-based, organic, and carefully sourced, and aligns with the principles of the University of Montana Culinary Medicine certification, acquired in August 2023. Fresh, seasonal produce inspires each lunch menu and drives our healthy-eating initiatives.

Try a transformational approach to good food.

The Y\V Nutrition Club is a monthly subscription for a mindful eating approach, with weekly nutrition challenges. When you sign-up, you will be given a month’s worth of nutritional practices, techniques and tactics. The challenges will range from applying mindfulness to your meals, to incorporating some “hero” foods into your menu, to re-structuring your shopping cart. You can accomplish the challenges with groceries that are readily available in our area. Occasionally, we will work with special ingredients, which I will provide. Your Y\V Nutrition Club experience requires that you make specific notes and journal entries with each challenge, so I suggest keeping a notebook just for this. I will request that you share your notes with me, and I will provide feedback. This exchange will chart our course forward through the months. Each month may be priced slightly differently, depending on the structure of the theme. You can join at any time.

Nutrition can be very complex. What each of us needs to be healthy and know true wellness is different. So, these challenges will not prescribe exactly what foods to consume or demand that you eliminate certain foods. The Y\V Nutrition Club is a place to come together as a community interested in wellbeing and take on challenges so that we may better understand ourselves and how we can each feel our best. We start simply and gently in January - with mindfulness.

Connect to chat with me for more details and to sign-up for this month’s worth of weekly challenges!

A bit about YVNC April:

This month, we will welcome ancient eastern wisdom, passed on through Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, to make small shifts in our nutritional patterns. These modalities classify the spring season as damp, heavy, cool, soft and dense - which can sometimes make us, as humans, feel stagnant, frustrated, or irritable - or can cause a sluggishness in our physiological systems. If we take cues from nature, we can start to formulate a menu that balances spring’s qualities and aids our own growth and renewal, just as the landscape around us begins to bud and blossom.
